A Traditional Church Wedding in St. Louis

You know life has been crazy when I’m a year and a half behind on blogging weddings, but this one just couldn’t be missed. Katelyn and Eric were married at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in September 2024. Their traditional church wedding in St. Louis couldn’t have been more beautiful. From the violinist and flutist to the heartwarming homily honoring the bride and groom, this ceremony checked all the boxes. I grew up Catholic and have been very familiar with Catholic weddings my entire life, but this one was extra special. Their priest made everybody feel a sense of belonging, and truly connected with Katelyn and Eric on a deeper level by tying in personal memories and stories with them.

Following their ceremony, we moved to Tower Grove Park for bridal party portraits. I’m love the neutral color scheme they chose, and the bridesmaid dresses were stunning. Closer to sunset, we focused on portraits of Katelyn and Eric, including a few around Piper Palm House before entering their reception.

Piper Palm House in Tower Grove Park is one of my favorite venues in St. Louis, and understandably so. The large windows, towering plants, the pond out front, and the overall aesthetic is so dreamy. We ate delicious food, danced the night away, and shared lots of laughter. I loved the toasts, the packed dance floor, and just how sweet and sentimental the parent dances were. It truly couldn’t have been a more perfect day to celebrate Katelyn and Eric’s love story. It is an honor to have been a part of it.
