Landann and Matthew’s boho wedding in Cadiz, Kentucky in October 2024 brought all the good vibes. These two incorporated their vintage aesthetic with their love of bird watching and the great outdoors. This made their wedding so personal and true to who they are. Something I preach to all couples I work with is to ensure that they’re having the day that they want, not what everybody else wants. Show off who you are and what you like. Create new memories and skip the traditions that don’t speak to you. At the end of the day, you’re the one going to be looking back on your wedding memories, so do whatever you want!
I think that’s my favorite aspect of Landann and Matthew’s wedding in Cadiz. They rented out Nine Pines Retreats and got ready in the cutest tents. Then they joined their family and friends for the most beautiful ceremony in the woods. I love the colors they chose. I still dream about Landann’s bouquet. I’ll never forget the combination of birds and disco balls for their centerpieces, or the handmade handkerchiefs for happy tears.
Nothing about this day was “traditional,” per se, but everything about it spewed creativity, individuality, and a uniqueness that only Landann and Matthew could bring. It gives a 1970s timelessness that will never go out of style. If you know me, you know that’s right up my alley!
