We’re going back to the very last day of 2024 and very first moments of 2025. I can’t imagine a better way to ring in one of the best years of my life. In 2025, I welcomed my son and pursued photography as a full time career. But before those moments happened, I shot a stunning New Year’s Eve Wedding.
Lilly and Trey originally envisioned a colorful October wedding. We planned on bright florals and potentially a tent reception. But one day, Lilly reached out and asked “What are your thoughts about a NYE wedding?” I didn’t even have to think twice. I was in. They pivoted to a sparkly, black and white, disco ball studded event.
They held their ceremony and the first part of their reception at the KC Hall. Christmas trees served as their backdrops, and the twinkling lights created a perfect ambiance. During cocktail hour, they had this incredible gourmet popcorn bar and I’m still dreaming of the loaded baked potato flavor.
After the sweetest first dance and parent dances, the dance floor opened up into an absolute rave, and the party only continued from there. I took a break for a few hours before returning to the bowling alley in Perryville around 11:30PM. The guests spent their time playing games, enjoying classic bowling alley snacks and drinks, and of course, bowling. At 11:59PM, everybody gathered together to count in the New Year, and I mean it when I say that this was the best New Year’s Eve I’ve ever celebrated.
I loved so many moments from this wedding. Lilly’s wedding dress had a three in one look: a mermaid fit, an overskirt, and detachable sleeves. It made for three unique looks with easy transitions for each event throughout the evening. This was also the first wedding I saw a phone guest book, which I am wholeheartedly obsessed with. It’s such a personal way to remember who was apart of your day. And lastly, the bowling alley after party was the perfect way to end the night and start the new year.
This New Year’s Eve wedding is one for the books – the last of 2024, the first of 2025, and hopefully the first of many NYE weddings down the road. I love a good party, and Lilly and Trey brought it full force. Check out the best of this dazzling wedding below!
