As we are inching closer to springtime, I can’t help but reminisce over one of the most remarkable weddings I have ever photographed. In April of 2024, we experienced a total solar eclipse through Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois, and while that is a sight in itself, it was Savannah and Jonathan’s wedding day that made it all the more memorable. From their emerald green and gold touches and their personalized vows, to their solar eclipse ceremony and sentimental reception full of surprises, this day will forever live rent free in my mind. I mean, is anything sweeter than a choreographed father daughter dance, a spectacular sparkler exit, and announcing to your family and friends that you’re moving closer to home? This couple is truly one of a kind, and I am still so honored that they chose me to capture their wedding day.
